Compare Wedding Insurance has carried out a survey about the average wedding spend in the UK and has found the amount being spent by couples on their weddings has fallen 10% from last year. On average, a 2012 wedding is costing under £14,500, compared to 2008 when couples spent up to £20,273. Now that's what we call recessionista brides!
