| The perfect shoe is out there |
 |
"Like most women, I love shoes," says footwear designer Dionne Gooding, a shoeaholic who owns hundreds of pairs. What is special about Dionne's extensive collection, however, is that most of them are either her own design or old favourites that have been refurbished and reborn through her creative process. "I got tired of seeing boring shoes in high street shops and unique and luxurious styles that I couldn't afford in designer stores, so I decided to produce my own footwear at reasonable prices." And this is what she brings to the masses. As well as selling her sparkling designs, she also transforms old pairs into brand new ones by adding elements like studs, flowers, feathers and Swarovski crystals to create custom-made footwear to suit individual taste. While Dionne's designs can be seen online and at The Mixx boutique in Hayes near Bromley, some of you footwear fanatics might want to take it one step further and host a shoe stopping footwear party in your own home. Dionne will will visit to help you and your guests choose and design the perfect pair of shoes. "Women of all ages love to gather for these parties," she says. Visit the website www.DionneGooding.com
