Following on from the success of her debut bridesmaid dress collection last year, designer Kate Fearnley has launched her first bespoke bridal service.
Famed for her quirky and sophisticated occasionwear that has been seen on many a celeb, including Alexandra Burke, Diana Vickers, Amy Childs and the girls from The Saturdays, Kate began receiving enquiries from brides who were finding it hard to choose a gown that suited their requirements. "I was already dressing the bridesmaids and the mothers-of-the-bride and groom, so why not the bride as well?" adds Kate. "It's fantastic to be involved in something so personal and special."
Many of Kate's dress designs have been inspired by 1950s silhouettes, and she loves the look of lace overlay, such as that worn by the Duchess of Cambridge last year, so her style is perfect for brides wanting vintage elements with a modern twist. And with her newly launched bridal service already proving popular, no doubt Kate will have plans to launch an off-the-peg bridal collection fairly soon. Watch this space!
